Jake's Birthday

Jake's First Birthday cake! I made it with two bunt cakes stacked on top of each other.

Jake going trick or treating with dad.

Jake's own little cupcake that we allowed him to destroy.

This is a picture of the cake I made. As you can tell, my Bells Palsy was in full swing, which is why I am smiling so strangely.

Grandma Bryant and all of the grandkids ready to go trick-or-treating!
Jake at Gymboree with Grandma and Grandpa Barrus and, as always, mom and dad. It was a costume party!

Ok, I am PAINFULLY aware that these pictures are way overdue, being that it is past Christmas and all. Our computer hasn't been able to upload pictures for the longest time. But it is working now (finally!) so here are the pictures of Jake's first birthday party. Since he was born on Halloween, I wanted to have a Haloween party! We started the day off by going to Gymboree in costume and then we had a big party with all of Jake's counsins, aunts, uncles and grandparents. It was quite the shin-dig. And it also marked the day that Jake and I have coexisted without killing the other. Now THAT is the biggest milestone yet...

Wow, your cakes are so impressive! I'm glad that you can load pictures finally. I love your posts. And you look beautiful... I thought that when your Bels Palsy kicked in that one side of your face couldn't smile? Well, you're talented in every way.
